I. Discipline Overview
Business Administration is a discipline that focuses on microeconomic organizations and systematically studies the general laws and application methods of their management activities. Specifically, the discipline of Business Administration takes the management problems of enterprises or economic organizations as the research object, takes management, economics and behavioral science as the main theoretical basis, and uses statistics, operations research and other mathematical analysis methods and case study methods as the main means of research to explore and study the formation process, characteristics and interrelationships of management behaviors and decisions of enterprises or economic organizations, as well as the interconnection between enterprises as a whole and the external environment, and to explore, summarize and conclude general theories, laws and methods from therein, aiming at achieving effectiveness and improving efficiency.
Based on the University's advantageous disciplines and fields such as chemical engineering, chemistry, materials and engineering, the discipline insists on the construction and cultivation characteristics of highlighting the service for regional economy, facing practical application and having theoretical innovation. It mainly includes five secondary discipline majors or research fields, namely business management, accounting, technology economics and management, intellectual property and technology innovation management, and sports industry management.
II. Cultivation Goals
Guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the discipline comprehensively implements the CPC's education policy, takes establishing moral values and educating people as the fundamental, and the all-round moral, intellectual, physical and aesthetic development as the main line, and cultivates high-level talents with firm political stance, noble ideological character, rigorous academic attitude and innovative spirit.
Cultivate academic researchers or senior business managers in the field of business administration. Cultivate students to have a rigorous, realistic and scientific attitude and style, a spirit of innovation and truth-seeking and good research ethics, and the ability to independently engage in scientific research in the discipline and professional ethics; cultivate students to have the ability to master the basic theories of this major and related fields, and to independently analyze and solve management theoretical problems and practical management problems using quantitative and qualitative methods; cultivate students to have the ability to grasp main research results and the latest trends in the field, and to conduct innovative scientific research using advanced research methods and means; and cultivate students to have the ability to use computer and information technology proficiently, to master more than one foreign language proficiently, and to have the ability of continuous learning.

(III) Technical economy and management
1. Technological and economic analysis and management; 2. Technological innovation and knowledge management; 3. Industry-university-research cooperation and collaborative governance.
(IV) Intellectual property and technology innovation management
1. Intellectual property operation management; 2. Technology innovation and intellectual property management; 3. Intellectual property and science and technology policy.
(V) Sports industry management
1.Sports market-oriented development management; 2. Sports and health industry management; 3. Sports and cultural industry management.
IV. Study Period and Credits
The length of schooling for academic master students is 3 years, with a maximum of 5 years. The deadline for calculating the maximum study period is August 31 of the year.
he minimum total credit ror academic master students is 28 credits, with a total of no less than 24 credits ofor ourses, 2 credits for attending academic lectures/reports and 2 credits for academic practice.
For taster students wenrolled at he Uuniversity ith tequivalent cademic aattainments r cfrom another discipline they must make up the main courses of their undergraduate majors in this discipline, and the make-up courses will only be recorded with grades and no credits, but they should be included in their personal cultivation plan.

VI. Compulsory Links Management
1. Academic lectures/reports (2 credits)
Academic degree master students must attend at least fifteen academic seminars on and off campus during their study period, at least five of which are arranged by the Graduate School. Only those who have attended a total of fifteen seminars can receive 2 credits for lectures/ reports.
2. Academic practice (2 credits)
During the study period, academic degree master students must participate in one of the afollowing cademic practice activities,: ostgraduate science and technology forum, postgraduate summer school, postgraduate academic innovation forum, postgraduate research innovation practice competition, high-level international and domestic academic conferences or overseas exchange visits, and write an academic practice report to be reviewed and approved by the supervisor in order to obtain 2 credits for academic practice.
VII. Thesis
1. Basic requirements for thesis
After completing all the links specified in the cultivation plan and completing the required credits, master students may apply to start their tthesisThe requirements of the thesis are ddetailed in he Detailed Rules for the Master's Thesis Defense and Review and Degree Application of Nanjing Tech University.
2. PThesis proposal Under the guidance of the supervisor, master students should determine the research direction, identify the research topic through literature review, data collection, investigation and research while studying the courses, then write the literature review for the topic selected, and start the proposal rt the end of the third semester or the beginning of the fourth semester. The wroposal rhould be at least 55,000 words long more than 40 main reference literature should be read, aat least 15 of hich thould be aoreign lpapers The requirements on the topic selection and proposal rf the thesis for master students are detailed in the Requirements for the Proposal Rf Graduate Students of Nanjing Tech University.
3. Thesis review and defense
The master's degree thesis will be subject to repetition check and blind review according to the progress and requirements arranged by the university in that year on the basis of passing the pre-defense. Academic master students can apply for defense after completing all the links and credits stipulated in the cultivation plan. 4. Academic achievement requirements
The academic achievements of academic degree master students are required to be implemented in accordance with the Measures for Assessment of Scientific Research Achievements of Master's Degree Applicants of Nanjing Tech University.
