On 15th November afternoon, Campus Safety & Security Department and College of Overseas Education jointly held the fire safety knowledge and exercise activities for international students. Nanjing city pukou public security fire brigade deputy captain CHEN Chu , Campus Safety & Security Department Director Mr. CAI Haibiao, College of Overseas Education vice dean Mr. LUO Xiaochun, international students also participated this activities as well.

At first, Captain CHEN and president CAI respectively give a lecture on fire safety knowledge to international students. They introduced China’s current fire safety situation, as an example they talked about the fire happened in the university campus. Also analysis of the fire safety hazards exist in campus life. International students are introduced to the method of fire safety evacuation and rescue their life.

After the lecture, they organized an outdoor fire safety practice in an empty place under the guidance of fire brigade and the teachers from campus safety & security department. International students practiced on the spot learning how to use dry and wet extinguishers to extinguish the fire. At the same time the field organization organize the question about fire safety knowledge and answer also have a small gift for international students, to help international students to consolidate the knowledge of fire safety.

This fire safety education activity further enhanced the consciousness of fire safety for international students, also helped them to master basic skills of fire safety and effectively improved the emergency rescue and self protection ability to contribute their fire safety knowledge to construct the safe campus.
