Research Interests
Mainly focusing on inorganic membrane materials and their applications. (1) Composite palladium membranes: hydrogen purifiers; membrane reactors for hydrogen generation and separation; hydrogen purity analyzer; hydrogen energy. (2) Porous stainless-steel membranes and ceramic membranes: filter elements; filter systems; filtration engineering; porous supporting materials. (3) Automated instruments for membrane testing: porometer (pore size distribution analyzer); integrity tester; pure water flux-meter; dust filtration tester; molecular weight cut-off tester; membrane contact-angle tester (by bubble point method); comprehensive testing platform. (4) Animal drug doser and blood sampler for pharmacokinetics and drug metabolism studies.
Academic achievements
Rich working experience from fundamental research to commercialization, application and engineering. Published 1 book and roughly 100 articles. Granted roughly 70 patents. Engaged in 4 standards of GB and CSTM. Completed research projects funded by NFSC, National Hi-Tech Program, European FP-6, etc.
