Academic achievements
Dr. Gu has focused on engineering advanced ceramics and ceramic membranes for environmental sustainability, especially water and wastewater treatment. A total of 54 peer-review papers have been published, including 24 papers as the first or/and corresponding author, two ESI highly cited papers and an ESI hot paper, with a total citation of over 1600 times. In addition, twelve patents have been applied in China, USA, Japan and Singapore, and four of them have been issued. Dr. GU also serves as the Guest Editor of Membranes and as the peer-review expert of international academic journals including ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, Journal of Advanced Ceramics, Journal of the European Ceramic Society, Industry Engineering Chemistry Research, Ceramic International, etc.
