"On the morning of May 19th, in accordance with the work arrangement of the China Higher Education Association for the 'School-Enterprise Cooperation Double Hundred Plan' dual visit activities as part of the 2021-2022 China Higher Education Expo, an expert group from the association conducted an online visit to the case study titled 'Innovative Practice in Industrial-Led School-Enterprise Collaboration for Talent Cultivation in Chemical Engineering.' Wang Ying, the Vice President of Suzhou Industrial Park Vocational College of Outsourcing Services, served as the head of the expert group. Other members included Wang Xiumei, Director of the Engineering Training and Innovation Entrepreneurship Education Center at North China Electric Power University, and Peng Zhangyou, Executive Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Department at Shanghai University. Lu Weidong, a member of the university's Party Standing Committee and Vice President, attended the activity.
At the beginning of the meeting, Vice President Wang Ying, the head of the expert group, introduced the background and inspection requirements of the activity. The case study was awarded a certificate of nomination for the 'Double Hundred Plan' typical case. Gu Xuehong, the Dean of the School of Chemical Engineering, presented a report covering four aspects: basic information, case content, distinctive effects, and overall performance. The case study received praise for its innovative approach to school-enterprise cooperation, and the quality of talent cultivation was highly regarded. The cooperative case has been replicated and promoted in multiple units, constructing a broader and more extensive collaborative talent cultivation system.
Following the presentation, both parties exchanged views and discussed the implementation of the case. The expert group fully affirmed the innovation, typicality, and promotional significance of the talent cultivation model presented in the case. They also provided constructive opinions and suggestions.
In the final session of the meeting, the school and relevant cooperative units discussed the suggestions put forward by the expert group. Vice President Lu Weidong expressed the hope for continued promotion of school-enterprise cooperation, seeking more typical cases, and cultivating chemical engineering professionals who can adapt to and lead industrial development with innovative practices and outstanding applied capabilities.
More than 30 people, including Pan Peiqing, the Director of the Human Resources Department of Yangzi Petrochemical, Liu Zhenlong, the Director of the Training and Development Office of Jinling Petrochemical, Wu Zhonglei, the Manager of the Technology Research and Development Department of Jiuwu High-Tech, and representatives from relevant departments of the university and partner enterprises, participated in the activity.
