A delegation of Burapha University headed by Prof. Pichai Sonchaeng, University Sponsoring and Fund Raising Committee, Director of Innovation Office, Chairman of Science Technology Innovation Park visited NanjingTech on December 15thand held meeting with Prof. Jiang Juncheng, NajingTach Vice President for discussions of bilateral co-operations between two universities.
Prof. Jiang Juncheng first extended warm welcome to Prof. Pichai Sonchaeng's visit and introduced the latest development of NanjingTech since it was officially selected as the first round of the "2011 Plan" Universities and our new strategy of building a comprehensive, research-oriented and globalized university. He said that China has a traditional friendship with Thailand and the communication and interaction between two universities would help to promote bilateral collaboration. Prof. Pichai Sonchaeng's visit would be a good opportunity to launch our partnership and build a bridge for the exchange between teachers and students of both universities.
Prof. Pichai Sonchaeng expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and his congratulations on the achievements NanjingTech has made. He made a brief introduction of Burapha University through presentation and video and he expected to carry out collaboration with NanjingTech in fields like food, water resources, new energy and green industries. He believed that his visit would develop the collaboration into a higher level.
Both sides also held discussions on some details of the future collaboration and reached some consensus. After the meeting, Prof. Pichai Sonchaeng delivered a lecture on his research which was warmly received by the teachers and students of the School of Urban Construction.
