President and Academician Huang Wei visited the University of Wollongong on invitation and met with Professor Paul Wellings, UOW Vice-Chancellor on October 28thand was conferred upon Honorary Professorship by UOW, a top 2% of world universities and one of the best modern universities in the world. President and Academician Huang Wei, known as the pioneering founder of Chinese Organic optoelectronics, is the first Chinese scholar to receive this honor. He received Degree of Doctor of Science Honoris Causa in the University of Sheffield in July this year for his research contribution.
The University of Wollongong is one of the most influential institutions with world-famous expertise in information technology and telecommunication in the southern hemisphere and among the top rank in information and computer science in Australia.
